Stadio Alberto Braglia, Modena
Modena Lazio 0-1
With a Bizzarri goal Lazio get their first win in Serie B

In the first three games of the season Lazio had drawn all three and were yet to win.
The match
Finally Graziano Landoni was able to play and Lazio benefitted enormously. But it was Modena who were dangerous in the beginning and in the 10th minute Idilio Cei had to save a powerful shot from Ettore Venturelli. The Biancocelesti however slowly took over the game. Claudio Bizzarri was anticipated by Luigi Balzarini in the 21st minute and Dimitri Pinti shaved the crossbar in the 29th. In the 37th minute Vincenzo Gasperi gave a good ball to Bizzarri who beat Francesco Aguzzoli for speed, dribbled past Giuseppe Barucco and in front of the goalkeeper made no mistake.
The Canarini attacked but confusedly and only in the dying moments of the first half were dangerous when Diego Zanetti was forced to save a ball off the line after a corner.
In the second half, Lazio put the game to bed and controlled any attempts from Modena. In the 50th minute Giancarlo Morrone had a chance but his shot was saved by Balzarini.
Nothing much happened after and the Biancocelesti got to win their first game of the season and for the first time ever in Modena.
