Emilio Carton

Emilio Carton was born in Verona on March 1, 1923.

He started playing with in the youth teams of Verona and debuted in the first eleven in the 1941-42 season in Serie C.


In 1945 he signed for Lazio. In his first year he made 17 appearances in the National Serie A-B Centre South League. After World War II due to the difficulty in travelling in Italy, the Federation decided to split the League into two groups, one for the North and one for the Centre-South. He stayed another two seasons, but rarely played, making just 11 appearances.


In 1948-49 he signed for Avellino and stayed a year before joining Marzotto Valdagno in 1949-50.


His last years of active football were played for Latina from 1950 to 1952. In the 1960’s he coached the youth team of Audace San Michele Extra.


In 1953 he even ventured into acting, appearing as himself in the film Gli Eroi della Domenica (the Sunday Heroes) directed by Mario Camerini.


In total he made 28 appearances for the Biancocelesti.
